An orphan slum boy who is adopted by an old lady who finds him on a footpath. She brings him to live with her in the slums. With his friends, he makes a living picking up selling rags. An encounter with some school going students, who call him an uneducated brute, changes the life of this slum boy. He takes up a personal challenge to attend school and get educated. The film depicts how this slum boy faces hardships in getting admission and attending schools and in fulfilling his dream to become educated.

After a crime lord is murdered by Madesha, Nivedhitha, a journalist, sets out to meet him. She ends up meeting an old woman and promises to help her find her son, who is none other than Madesha.

Ajay makes a tune which Madhu loves, but she doesn't know who the composer is. Sunil, a selfish brat, pretends to be the composer of the tune in order to woo Madhu.

Shivayya, who suffers from autism, impulsively marries Lalitha, a young widow, against the customs of his village. They move to the city to escape from the wrath of the societal judgement.

Sangeetha and Anand are madly in love with each other, but they plan to sacrifice their relationship for their parents' sake. However, circumstances try to bring them together.
