Two high school enemies, uber-jock Harry and out-and-proud Sam, are forced to share a car ride to their Missouri hometown for a friend's engagement party on Valentine's Day. Things take a turn when Sam learns Harry has come out.

In their hometown, a writer named Caesar and his closest friend Leonardo go on a final exploration of the city before Caesar's departure. Throughout the day, they encounter an array of characters, each representing different facets of city life and the dreams they hold dear.
