Butak is a mischievous young boy who lives with his grandparents in a village. He often makes people around him angry by his mischievous behaviours. One day, an opportunity presents itself which allows Butak to runaway from home. Longing to become a better person, Butak boards a ship from Penang and makes his way to Mecca. There, Butak prostrates himself before the Kaabah and repents his past behavior.

In the outskirts and back-alleys of Kuala Lumpur, several individuals with money problems struggle to get their lives straight, find their paths unexpectedly intersecting - with fatal results.

Ismail and Rohani's life became happier when the price of rubber as their source of income increased. In addition, their eldest daughter Rosnah got an offer to study at a boarding school. They work harder for their daughter's education. Rohani advises her daughter not to spend money to come home during Ramadan as they need to save for Hari Raya preparations.
