Pedro Rodil

Pedro and Inês, a couple, travel from Lisbon to watch Ovar's Carnaval. They get lost in the swamp of Ria, where they almost run over Teresa, a missing child. Teresa runs away, and Pedro and Inês search for her in the lagoon, white also protecting her from a strange and dangerous group of masked people who also look for the child called the Dominos.

In the 17th century a warrior woman fights for the independence of Angola. After witnessing the murder of her son and watching her people being humiliated by Portuguese colonizers, Njinga will become a Queen and struggle for their liberation embodying the motto: those who stay fight to win.

Nuno is the son of divorced parents. He lives a nomadic existence with his father: he lost all his friends and never stays long enough anywhere to make new friends. Now Nuno has become a drug addict, he’s in hospital, in a coma struggling between life and death. His father and his father’s sister remain by his bedside. The three separately evoke requests from the past and other characters they meet also complement their current life experiences and memories. Based on the novel by António Lobo Antunes.
