This scenic documentary attempts to reconstruct the last days of Jesus Christ - from his arrival in Jerusalem to his death on the cross. But what is faith and what is historical? The narrative begins with the arrival of Jesus in Jerusalem with a small group of followers, continues with the scandal in the temple, the provocation of the Jewish rulers, the trial before the Roman prefect and the execution of the sentence.

Journalist Carla is supposed to interview her estranged mother, a successful penny dreadful novelist. Suddenly she finds herself in a picturesque mountain village as Alpine baker Lilia LeClerk - a character from a novel.

Parvis, the son of exiled Iranians, copes with life in his small hometown by indulging himself with pop culture, Grindr dates, and raves. After being caught shoplifting, he is sentenced to community service at a refugee shelter where he meets siblings Banafshe and Amon, who have fled Iran. As a romantic attraction between Parvis and Amon grows, the fragile relationship between the three is put to a test.

Emily has been married to the abusive and alcoholic Tom for six years and has finally had enough. She teams up with her ex-con ex-boyfriend Jared to kill Tom and bury his body. But what seems like the perfect murder turns into a neverending nightmare as Emily and Jared find themselves trapped in a terrifying time loop in which Tom keeps coming back.

Following a ‘population check’ carried out by the right-wing government, estranged couple Jonah and Lisa flees to a remote holiday home in the mountains where they encounter Lisa’s childhood sweetheart. Suspicion between the three grows, and Jonah wonders whether he should leave his homeland.
