Short documentary about finnish movie director Visa Mäkinen. There is photos from family album and short clips where Visa Mäkinen is working behind the camera. There is also clips from his most famous movies, and actors, colleague and a film critic telling small anecdotes about Visa Mäkinen.

Eero Tyrni, a reporter for Iltapäivä newspaper, is in Austria doing a story on ski jumper Teemu Kimpilä. Kimpilä's jumps fail and he disappears from the scene. Left behind are his third wife Sari, his sponsors, the Ski Association, and the Finnish people. Tyrni is tasked with finding out where Kimpilä disappeared to.

Reima Elo ends up trying to commit suicide when he is abandoned by his wife Molla. He is also the village's laughing stock due to his communism. At a critical moment, a Lenin lookalike from Russia named Vladimir rescues him.
