From private jets in the US to reflux in Solrød. From kimchi to potato chips. From (finally) becoming a father in a tornado of poor sperm quality and fertility treatments, to losing his own Irish father in a cloud of tobacco smoke and lukewarm Guinness. With the new show Optur, it's time to laugh and have a good time again, where Simon Talbot in his usual style transforms themes from his own life, such as hair loss, social media, cats, gaming, nose hair, Danish laws, the contrast of growing up with a Jehovah's Witness mother and Irish street boy father, married life, women's overly hot baths, and much much more, into jokes we can all laugh at. In keeping with tradition, the popular comedy show is back, and this time it is Red Barnet that is behind it. This year's hosts are Michael Schøt and Christian Fuhlendorff.

The stand-up show is titled The Surrogate Comedy Show #PoweredByOnePlus. The show was live streamed on the social media platform Twitch.tv on May 31, 2020. This is the first time ever that an interactive stand-up show has seen the light of day on the popular platform. For the first time ever, Simon Talbot gave the audience the opportunity to add their own jokes to the show - if they're funny enough. In selected Twitch livestreams leading up to the show, Simon Talbot hosted ‘Open Mic’ sessions where everyone could give input and ideas.

Simon Talbot has just finished his epic tour with the show ‘Make Denmark Great Again’. Now the Danish comedian is setting his sights on world domination and touring Scandinavia with his brand new English-language stand-up show ‘Danish Invasion’. However, due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the foreign shows were canceled, while the Danish part of the tour went ahead.

Can we Danes learn something from the always confident Americans? According to Simon Talbot, who has been touring the United States in the hope of the big breakthrough. This has made Simon smarter on Americans, politics and comedy. A knowledge he will now use to 'Make Denmark Great Again'. In the one-man show of the same name, Talbot offers funny and embarrassing video clips from his American escapades, in which he has appeared in the hunt for 'The American Dream' at everything from taco shops to major venues - but has repeatedly had to prove that the meeting between Danish and American humor is not always a match.

Look forward to a fantastic show, where this year's hosts, Carsten Bang and Jesper Juhl, together with a string of the country's comedians, will mark 25 years with a historic anniversary show on December 27 at Musikhuset Aarhus, December 29 at Royal Arena, and January 8, 2018, at The Comedy Store in London. For the fifth year in a row, the proceeds will go to Save the Children and the organization's humanitarian work for refugee children.
