A light hearted comedy about a girl from a small town in Malaysia who dreams of becoming a star in neighboring Singapore. Along the way, she meets a shy coffee shop assistant who Ah Seng who befriends her and encourages her to achieve her dreams. This light hearted comedy with moments of vulnerability and emotion brings forth a message of truth and heart to anyone who's ever wished upon a 'star'.

With her elder two sons being gay, a traditionally-minded mother fears her youngest son could be too, thereby losing her last chance to have any grandchildren. With help from a friend she takes in a female French foreign exchange student, who ends up teaching the family a lot about life, acceptance, and love.

In 1960s Singapore when Bugis Street was a center of transvestite and transsexual prostitution, naïve sixteen-year-old Lian comes of age working as a receptionist for the Sin Sin Hotel, home to a gaggle of trans women whom all have stories of broken hearts and drunken sailors.

A Singapore Army conscript discovers his fellow soldiers turned into zombies. He escapes from camp. He discovers the zombie virus is quickly spreading and so teams up with a ragtag team of survivors in order to escape from Singapore.
