Fifteen-year-old Roma teenager Martin is running away from home, hoping to start a new life in Prague. He ends up sharing a train cabin with an old man, who quite possibly might be traveling back to Prague for one final time. It’s an extraordinary meeting of two lonely people showing that diversity is something that should enrich and not separate people.

By some quirk of fate, the two small-time thieves and the spoiled princess find themselves in the Black Forest full of magic beings who believe that everyone has a chance to mend his ways. Two people meet in a sheltered housing environment. Klára, who has no genetic disability but has grown up in an autistic family her entire life. Adam, who is just below the threshold of mental retardation, is kind, guileless, and practical, and immediately fits into the group. She is shy, dependent, and no one except Adam talks to her. A relationship develops between them that begins to cause problems for both themselves and the other clients of the halfway house.

The protagonists are the same, only five years older: Kocourek Kolman, mother Kocourková, mother Kolmanová and father Kolman. Kocourek applies to study graphic design at the UMPRUM. He has not been accepted twice because there is a great interest in studying at this university, only a select few are accepted. Mother Kocourková has long given up on the dream that her son will study something proper and that she will ever understand him, and so she increasingly talks to herself with a bottle of vodka. Kolman, meanwhile, is studying in his second year at the University of Economics. But instead of lectures and seminars, he is only interested in his classmates. He packs one after another. He solves his exams and credits by fraud or bribery. Kocourek, on the other hand, is conscientious and hardworking and falls head over heels in love with the enchanting Júlia, who is also applying to the UMPRUM.

The musical adventure culminates in the magical world of dreams.

Bestiary is the story of a young woman, Karolína, whose life is profoundly changed by her relationship with Alex, a mysterious and elusive man. It is a relationship full of uncertainty and strange ambiguities, a relationship that is exhausting. Karolína decides to break free from her emotional dependence and learn from other men how to stop being submissive. She wants to be the one who sets the pace, she wants a change of roles.

Seven seemingly unconnected fairy tales - glued together only by folklore, mood, color and light - make up this Czech collection of visual poetry. The original piece of literature, written by Karel Jaromír Erben in 1853, contained twelve tales.
