When Marie’s boyfriend proposes to her in front of his entire family, she doesn't know what to say and flees to the countryside to think it over alone. But her thoughts accompany her. They sit around her in flesh and blood: Her mother pesters her with baby names, exboyfriends climb down trees and a woman in a sari narrates her life in poems. Her would-be fiancé eventually joins her, clashing his own luggage of thoughts with hers. But what if you show your thoughts to each other? How much honesty can a relationship take? In her first feature, director Zora Rux, an apprentice of Swedish filmmaker Roy Andersson, tells a surrealistic story of the search for one’s true self in poetic tableaus.

Thomas Borchert, the unlicensed lawyer, and his colleague Dominique Kuster take on the case of Anna Sutter, who wants to contest the will of her father, watchmaker Ludwig Sutter, following his unexpected death. Shortly thereafter, Anna Sutter's half-brother René is found murdered in his office, and the young woman becomes a suspect in the murder. The evidence points to her guilt, particularly the fact that her fingerprints are found on the murder weapon and that, according to a witness statement, she was the last person to be with him before his death. Dominique Kuster attempts to represent her as a lawyer in the murder trial and prove her innocence.

Teresa und Patricia are best friends. Despite the big differences between date-experienced Teresa and romantically predisposed single-mother Patricia, they have one thing in common: they have enough of bad dates and are sick of stupid dudes, bad surprises and broken hearts. When Teresa meets the neurotic programmer Anton, who is completely inexperienced in the field of romance, they come up with a genius business idea: together with the womanizer and start-up founder Paul, they develop an app with which potential dates can be categorized. In this manner, users can paint a picture of what they're getting themselves into. However, quite quickly they find out that people can't be easily fit into boxes and that matters of the heart shouldn't be left to an algorithm...
