After choosing to disband the Kawahara-gumi, Kiryu is left in possession of a massive cache of the syndicate’s firearms. Unsure of how to dispose of them, he takes advice and puts the weapons up for sale at an underground auction. Natsume has been busy, navigating between humans and Yokai when he coincidentally reunites with an old classmate, Yuki. It brings back painful memories of a certain Yokai. Meanwhile, Natsume also became acquainted with Yorie Tsumura, a woman in the memories of a Yokai whose name he had returned. Yorie knew much about Reiko, but now lived a peaceful life with her only son, Mukuo. Being with this family was comforting for Natsume, but apparently a mysterious Yokai has been lurking in their town. On the way back from investigating, a “Yokai seed” that had latched itself to Nyanko Sensei drops into the Fujiwaras’ garden and grows overnight into a fruit tree. When Nyanko Sensei eats a fruit that is somehow shaped like himself, he suddenly splits into three!

In a yakuza world where brute force is no longer enough, the fearsome Igarashi-gumi faces a turning point. All eyes are on two successors: the hardline enforcer Samejima (Riki Takeuchi) and the young boss Segawa (Hiroshi Fuse). While the bedridden boss’s true wishes remain unclear, Segawa begins making secret moves behind the scenes. Greed and ambition ignite a bloody internal war over succession.

Samejima (Riki Takeuchi), a member of the Igarashi group, thwarts a plan by Yano (Takashi Matsuyama), a member of the Hanamori group, to crush the group. Yano asks for an apology, but Samejima is reluctant. Meanwhile, Dojima (Yoshiyuki Yamaguchi), an executive of the Hanamori-kai, plans to expel Yano after his plan fails, and falsely tells Kurata, a group member who admires Samejima, that Yano is plotting to assassinate Samejima. Kurata (Go Ibusuki) is seduced by this plan and carries out the assassination of Yano without Samejima's knowledge...
