Sixteen-year-old apprentice Zuzka commutes to Prague, where she is studying to become a "mechanic and agricultural machinery adjuster." She lives alternately at a boarding school and at her parents' farm. At home, endless work awaits her, and at school, she is constantly ridiculed by her classmates. Only at night, in the girls' dormitory, under the covers, can she live out her dreams of love. She is secretly and platonically in love with actor and singer Jiří Pavel, about whom she knows everything. She keeps a scrapbook diary in which she records all of Pavel's acting and singing successes.

Olga, a young and sensitive governess, comes to an impoverished aristocratic family full of ideals and determination to love the children entrusted to her. Lonely among people, she experiences the feeling of not belonging anywhere. Neither among the arrogant nobility nor among the servants. She experiences many situations that hurt and humiliate her, but at the same time teach her lessons for her future life.

Since childhood, the young prince—along with his sister Bela—has listened to his nanny's stories about the Apple Tree Maiden. He hears the words of an old ballad about how the deep forest hides the ruins of a fortress where a nobleman once lived with his son and daughter. They lived there happily until the father brought home a new wife, a witch who destroyed everything and cursed the children into the form of apples on a withering apple tree. Only pure love—and only on All Saints' Day—can free the unfortunate siblings and restore their human form. And now, as an adult, the prince searches for his dream—the Apple Tree Maiden—during his endless wanderings through the forest.

Prince Victor looks in vain for a swan which was wounded by one of his servants. Instead he discovers a beautiful girl with golden hair who has an arrow in her shoulder. She is dumb and can't explain her origin. He falls immediately for her. The girl quickly recovers, but disappears mysteriously.

The Dragon Ring is an italian film of two parts. It's about Desideria, the dragon king's daughter and Selvaggia, her adopted and magical sister. To get the dragon ring after the death of her father, Desideria needs to marry, but she can't find a husband, so Selvaggia sees her chance to get the ring with all its powers.
