The action is seen through the eyes of Shubhendu Chatterjee who has come to the Mela not out of any religious sentiment but to see and understand people and seek the reason why “….multitudes upon multitudes of the old and weak and the young and frail enter without hesitation or complaint upon such incredible journeys and endure the resultant miseries without repining.” (Mark Twain after visiting the 1895 Mela)

After her diamond-smuggling uncle is murdered, a woman is terrorized by the fortune-seeking former associates the uncle once double-crossed. She meets a charming stranger, but can he be trusted?

Based on the life of the legendary figure of Indian freedom movement Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose, this Bengali classic narrates the life of young Subhash Chandra, his childhood, college days, passing ICS, early political campaigns and police arrest. Master Ashish Ghosh and Amar Dutta played the role of Child Subhash and Subhash Chandra respectively.
