A documentary about the 75th birhday of the UFA film studios directed by Hans-Christoph Blumenberg.

The wife of a lawyer becomes the target of a violent sexual assault by two teenagers. Attempts to hold the perpetrators accountable are met with incomprehension by the village community. Prejudices on both sides turn into open hatred.

It is an eerie, cold evening, with the wind whistling through the trees. In a remote pub, a few people have gathered around a single candle and are telling each other scary stories. A man from the next table joins them and tells them about a mysterious apparition. An eerie face regularly appears on the wall of his room, giving him the creeps. The stranger recounts in detail how this gruesome occurrence is bringing him to the brink of a nervous breakdown. Whose face is it? Is it that of a dead person?

Film adaptation of the last part of Martin Walser's "Kristlein Trilogy": After the perpetually failing intellectual Anselm Kristlein had to make a living as a sales representative and advertising copywriter in "Halbzeit" and became a writer in "Das Einhorn" (filmed in 1977 by Peter Patzak), he now tries his hand as the owner of a pinball arcade in Munich, loses his wife's fortune, and returns to Lake Constance in a chaotic state of mind.
