
Richard Hayward was an English-born Irish actor, writer, and musician. In the 1930s, he produced and acted in some of the first films made on the island of Ireland. He was also influential in the world of literature and theatre. He was killed in a car accident in 1964.

The sinking of the Titanic is presented in a highly realistic fashion in this tense British drama.
