Spandau Ballet brothers Martin and Gary Kemp return to the BBC for a New Year comedy documentary special. Rhys Thomas OBE has been given unprecedented behind-the-scenes access to their lives for a whole year, and what a momentous one it’s been - with Martin publishing an explosive biography, his two wives, Pepsi and Shirlie, wanting a divorce, and Gary writing Spandau: The Ballet.

It follows Michael's life from joining Wham! in 1981, to the present-day covering his career as a solo artist including personal and professional gain and loss. The film is a British venture produced by Aegean Films with Gorilla Entertainment Limited serving as distributor.

One of the defining pop groups of the 1980's, the ebullient duo Wham! were chart toppers and award-winners. With their straightforward, infectious dance pop, members George Michael (who went on to become a very successful solo artist) and Andrew Ridgeley became two of the first MTV bred superstars. THE BEST OF WHAM! takes a comprehensive musical look at their illustrious career, and features their historical concert in China (the very first by a Western pop group) and their farewell concert at Wembley Stadium.

Best known for their radio staples "Wake Me Up Before You Go-Go" and "Careless Whisper," the seminal 80s pop group Wham! (George Michael and Andrew Ridgeley) shot Wham! In China: Foreign Skies circa 1985. In the resulting film, the group performs 12 numbers, including the aforementioned hits, "Ray Of Sunshine," "Blue," and "Young Guns (Go for It!)".
