A Hero... in Rome is a road movie about a man who dares to make his dream to reality. He goes to Rome to see his idol in the world of opera. Instead of joy, he falls victim to a theft that changes and upsets everything in his life. A series of tragicomic situations follow. The bittersweet experience of a journey. Loneliness and the quest. Nostalgia for tender innocence. An extreme event mars his return to Greece and so he becomes the hero of the day for the media. But deep inside his soul, what was this trip for him?

After a drunken night, three best friends hit a man with their car and then they dump his dead body into a lake. After that night their friendship ends, before a beautiful girl returns to their lives and perplexes them again.

A 35-year old man, just released from jail, decides to make a clean break from the big city and his troubled past. He retreats to the abandoned village his father came from and moves into an old, collapsing house. Alone, far from the bigger village and doing petty jobs to survive, he will strive to find himself once more. Amidst a haze of suspicion and scorn by villagers who treat him an intruder, his past catches up to him in the form of his girlfriend from Athens. Conflict is inescapable

A group of men in their sixties that spend the August nights in Athens outside a pharmacy during night shift, an ambulance driver who has an affair with a younger girl, a middle-aged couple who have invented a lie to renew their passion for one another, a child pretending to sleepwalk in the streets of Athens, two younger people who are tied together in an office after a burglar attack, and other amorous encounters during the same night.
