At first, friendgroup TKKG have no idea that something is amiss when “Jugend forscht” winner Kevin behaves strangely during the presentation of his “Mind Machine” - they blame his nervousness and his unexpected termination of the speech on relationship stress with his girlfriend Nadine. But when Nadine disappears without a trace shortly afterwards, like three other children before her, the amateur detectives know that they have to help the police with their investigation.

Hollywood, 1947. John Huston is shooting the final scene of his new film. The turbulent relationship between the film's two stars creates tension between the director and his crew. An ironic story about life on both sides of the camera.

Eddi is just back in town after his imprisonment. He plans to free his African jail comrade Timpe, because the latter will get no asylum in Germany and probably be killed when sent to his country. When freeing Timpe at the airport, Eddi and his comrades find out that the police officers are smuggling drugs when escorting those who get no asylum back to their countries. Eddi decides to take advantage of the situation.
