Grade schooler Yuishi falls for his classmate Kokoa after she passionately channels Greta Thunberg in a speech about environmental activism. Teaming up with the class troublemaker, Yuishi embarks on a self-righteous crusade and finds himself in a precocious love triangle. Their antics soon spiral into unintended consequences, forcing the trio to confront hard truths.

In 2020, the world is forced into lockdown by the COVID pandemic. As remote work is popularized in order to keep the infection rate under control, a young man employed by a company in Tokyo moves to a country town on the Sanriku Coast in Miyagi Prefecture, where he could enjoy fishing, in search of a new lifestyle. Based on the first novel, Spring Snow, of Mishima Yukio's Sea of Fertility tetralogy, it follows the troubled and illicit affair between two youngsters amongst the aristocracy and rich of early twentieth century Japan.
