An insurance agent, in order to save his job, leaves with his family for the trendy Egyptian resort of Sharm El Sheikh, where his boss will also spend the holidays.

Gianluca, unable to bear the world's ills, decides to climb the Colosseum and isolate himself from everything and everyone. Friends and relatives awkwardly try to reach him and get him down. It will be an opportunity for everyone to stop and reflect; his grandmother tries to convince him with her wisdom that the solution is to face the world as it is, with a lighthearted approach.

So he asks his brother-in-law Marco, who is leaving for a week in New York with his wife Lucia, to lend him the house. Although Marco is a little hesitant, he eventually agrees. Eight episodes vaguely inspired to real events. The "fil rouge" is the relationship between the Italians and sex in the first years of 2000s. From prostitution to virtual sex all the categories are represented in a funny way that anyway tries to investigate this kind of reality.

Rome. Paola Angeli, a young psychiatrist, following her recent separation from her husband Alberto Salvi, a crime reporter, moved to an apartment overlooking a large courtyard, overlooked by a series of other buildings. It is Christmas. The city is becoming depopulated. Even the courtyard that Paola sees from her windows during long sleepless nights seems uninhabited apart from the few remaining tenants. One morning, not far from Paola's condominium, the body of an unidentified blonde girl is found in a dumpster. Alberto investigates the mysterious crime on behalf of his newspaper. Paola has the impression of having seen a blonde girl with a pair of very showy earrings enter building C the previous night. but Romolo, the building's doorman, excludes him because the tenants are all away on holiday.
