Under the pressure of the international community, the Serbian Government establishes a Mixed Commission, and conferred to it the examination of facts in the affair "missing babies" that has lasted for several decades.

60 year old woman leaves urban life and goes to live in a village to take care of her grandchildren whose parents now live in America. There she faces lots of financial hardships as the family doesn't send any money, and tries her best to provide all for their happier childhood.

Three separate stories of young people targeted for human trafficking: Tamara, a girl who starts a relationship with a man who offers her attention and freedom from her empty life; Petar, who gets blackmailed after sending nude photos of himself to someone he thought was a girl online; Kaca, whose parents are financially struggling and suddenly offered a substantial amount of money for their daughter to go out of town for a period for a babysitting job.

The violent break-up of former Yugoslavia is described from the Serbian point of view, using the story of ethnically mixed couple in war-torn city of Vukovar as metaphor.

Follows two friends and their adventures in Sarajevo during the 1980s.
