This puppet film is a visually rich interpretation of the national hero Holger Danske. The story begins with Holger's birth and baptism in pagan Denmark around the year 800. The little boy is kidnapped by the Franks, who, led by Charlemagne, are trying to unite the many peoples of Europe into one empire, under one faith. The film follows the open and charming Holger's encounter with war and love, foreign cultures and beliefs, thereby touching on some universal and eternally valid themes.

A story about friendship and sticking together through tough times. The movie shows how two young girls and their families cope with their differences, how they are brought together and torn apart and how they are changed by the injury of a racing pigeon. But when the girls take it upon themselves to heal the pigeon, its recovery can bring them all hope.

In a future surveillance and treatment society where imaginative literature is censored, author Adam Gregor lives an unhappy life. During an argument with his wife, who is prone to conformity, he pushes her over the staircase landing and now believes he has killed her. However, society does not operate with the concept of guilt, and Adam cannot be convicted of murder, but is released after psychiatric treatment. He tries to get in touch with his young son, but encounters a friendly but determined power structure. At the same time, he is monitored by the authorities, who hope he will contact his oppositionist publisher.

Four Danish-Americans who, thanks to their exploits across the Atlantic, should have been behind bars, have taken up residence in a Copenhagen hotel. It is not longing for their homeland that has driven them home, but the hope of making "the big deal," more specifically, securing the crown jewels at Rosenborg Castle in a daring coup. At the hotel, the four "gentlemen" impatiently await their boss's orders to move out.

It is apparently an unusually cunning gang and the police are powerless. Between the numerous newspaper delivery is the little newspaper girl Suzanne, called Sus, and she manage a small newsstand in Adelgade.
