
Gheorghe Dumitru Mureșan, a Romanian-American, is a former NBA center and one of the tallest players in the league's history at 7'7". Nicknamed "the Giant", he wore the number 77 as a tribute to his height. Mureșa played for the Washington Bullets, Seattle Supersonics, and New Jersey Nets. He made his NBA debut on November 17, 1993, and averaged 9.8 points and 6.4 rebounds over his 307 games.
