A virus causes people to age rapidly. There is an antidote, but it has to be taken daily and is under control of a single company. A woman who is not infected carries an infected child, and seeks for it to be cured. This quest leads her to the blue lands, where most of the infected live.

Howard Spitz is a cranky, has-been detective novelist out of money and out of luck - until he meets eight-year-old Samantha, who convinces him he has what it takes to write children's books.

Curmudgeonly author Giles De'Ath, a widower with a marked distaste for modern popular culture, attempts to buy a ticket for a film adaptation of an E.M. Forster novel, but instead finds himself watching a tacky teen sex comedy. Yet when the beautiful Ronnie Bostock appears on the movie screen, Giles finds himself caught in a whirlwind of unanswered questions about both his own sexuality and his place in late 20th-century society.

As things settle down on the Lexx, the crew realizes Kai needs a constant supply of proto-blood to continue to function in the real world. Stanley and the others undertake a desperate mission to Kai's wrecked home world in search of a way to extend Kai's existence.

Out of energy, the Lexx is forced to land on a planet to replenish its energy supply. Zev and Stan bury the apparently dead Kai, before they discover an outpost occupied by lunatics led by the manic Bog.

To resupply the protoblood that sustains Kai's life, the crew of the Lexx travel back to the Cluster but find the planet deserted. The population was killed in "The Cleansing", in preparation of the birth of the Giga Shadow, the last survivor of the insect wars and sworn enemy of humanity. The crew try to destroy the Giga Shadow with the help of Yottskry (played by guest star Malcolm McDowell), a defecting priest of the Divine Order.

Fugitive security guard Stanley Tweedle, love slave Zev Bellringer, and love slave robot head 790 are thrown together by fate and on the run from His Divine Shadow after stealing The Lexx: the most powerful destructive force in two universes.

An animator finds himself trying to explain his (lack of) artistic vision to his creations, who just aren't impressed.

A father and son struggle to make ends meet on the rodeo circuit.
