Takuji Kawakubo

Summer 1978. High schooler Kurita is inspired by Star Wars, and films a spaceship scene on a 8mm camera together with his friend Ozawa. When the class is discussing a project for their school festival, Kurita's suggestion to make an SF movie ends up winning. Together with their movie fan classmate Sasaki, the boys start to plan a movie and manage to convince Yamashita, the prettiest girl in class, to star as the heroine. Over the summer vacation, the four shoot their movie, "Time Reverse", where an alien spaceship arrives on Earth to turn back time in order to save mankind from itself.

When Akio Mori is almost hit by a truck, his friend Makoto Ozaki does everything he can to save him. Since then, Akio has been having the strangest and most recurring dream of a beautiful girl appearing before him. He has been having this dream for two months, and the girl's identity has always been a mystery until now. Noticing the girl from his dreams passing by him in real life, Akio is shocked when she runs up to him, hugs him, and suddenly disappears. Completely perplexed by the experience, Akio returns home, but instead of finding comfort, he is forced to face an abrupt truth when, walking to his house, he sees a photograph of his funeral on display. Realizing for the first time that he did not survive the accident from which he believed Ozaki saved him, Akio decides that the only thing he can do is ask his best friend for help.

When pregnant Mia Sakaguchi falls from a staircase at the shrine, she is transferred to 1994 and immediately admitted to a mental institution, because no one believes her that she is from the future. There she is confronted with the shocking truth that the mentally ill are forcibly sterilized. In order to protect her unborn child, she tries to escape from the institution.

Suspicions fall on politician Tagane Seizo over the sale of nationally owned land to a social welfare service corporation back in 2010. Seizo Tagane is then given immunity for his testimony, but people become furious that he was not going to be prosecuted. A committee of prosecutors meets and concludes that Seizo Tagane should be prosecuted. An outstanding lawyer Yui Hitotsugi takes the prosecutor's position in the case with the help of the prosecutor Tachibana.
