in 1988 Saddam attacks Halabja, a city in Iraqi Kurdistan. After the chemical bombardment of Halabja, an Iranian war photographer is the first man to enter the city. There he meets a woman and a tale of love begins.

After spending all his money buying a piece of land that was already sold to someone else, Nasrallah Madadi finds himself in trouble. To solve his money problems, he then decides to be the offender of fraud rather than its victim. Getting himself involved with a pair of criminals, he begins a crooked business selling a same yellow taxi to different buyers, only to steal it back from them and sell it again. In a fascinating portrayal of human nature, Canary Yellow follows Nasrallah through the ups and downs of his double-sided experience of crime. But will it all end with the better life for his family he hopes for?

A young woman is living with her mother at the end of a dead-end street. The young woman notices that a man standing in the street stares into her room every day. After a while, she gets used to his presence and falls in love with him.

Samad is to be sent to the city courthouse for his fights where he points his finger at others, and he happens to be handcuffed to a male smuggler. Along the way, the smuggler manages to escape with the help of one of his accomplices, and since his hand was tied to Samad's, they are forced to take Samad with them. After they untie the handcuffs, they decide to kill Samad, but the smuggler's accomplice, who was a girl and happened to be the daughter of the gang boss, does not allow them to kill Samad out of emotion. So they take him to a cinema and while Samad is immersed in a Bruce Lee karate movie, they leave him there and leave. Samad becomes fascinated with Bruce Lee and karate after watching the karate movie, and after returning to the village, he tries to teach the villagers karate by imitating Bruce Lee's martial arts moves.

During an attack in a caravansary in which all the soldiers die, three people manage to flee. After that they accidentally encounter in different places and help each other out.
