Two mischievous siblings, Klotylda and Barnabáš, fail their final exams at the wizardly lyceum. In their father Zachariáš’s absence, they break the strict rule and open the forbidden thirteenth chamber, accidentally freeing the evil sorcerer Vzdoroděj. He enchants all the adults and sets off to find a powerful gemstone that will destroy their father and conquer the realm. Hiding with their stern Aunt Berta, the children must manage the household while improving their magical skills and learning to cooperate. When Berta’s rescue plan falters and Vzdoroděj approaches, Klotylda and Barnabáš face him alone.

But only until, thanks to the magic of a wise herbalist, the spoiled Maja wakes up in a poor cottage and the kind Mařenka in the luxury of the castle. Will anyone even recognize that they are completely different people? Will Princess Maja learn kindness, and will Mařenka achieve what she desires most?

Irena is the energetic owner of a thriving business. However, after a serious car accident, she decides to sell her company and donate the proceeds to those in need. In an attic full of discarded junk, a pretty doll called Buttercup lives in an old trunk together with her friends, the marionette Prince Charming, lazy Teddy Bear and the plasticine creature Schubert. When Buttercup is snatched and taken off to the Land of Evil, her pals set out to rescue her.

We meet Veronica shortly before her high-school graduation exams. She lives with her mother, an alcoholic, and her mother's partner. One day when he is drunk, he chases Veronica to the roof of a house and falls off, killing himself. He was in debt as he was addicted to gambling. His creditor wants the money back and starts to threaten Veronica. Her mother will not protect her since she is always drunk. Thus, the young girl must leave home and hide far away. On her journey she meets many characters. Some of them are comic, others are rather tragicomic. And Veronica tries to find good people with whom she would feel comfortable and happy, thus giving her life meaning. - Czech film center

Czech literature teacher Josef Tkaloun, who is past retirement age, realises one day that he no longer understands his pupils, and so he quits… dramatically. What he does not predict is that in doing this he will lose his sense of place in society.

Erben's original text, which did not exceed half a page in length, served Zelenka only as a source of inspiration to write a plot-rich story about two brothers, one of whom lives in luxury because Luck helped him to wealth, and the other lives in absolute poverty because he loves him Poverty, and she, out of love for him, doesn't want to allow him to get rich and let his life be complicated by worrying about possessions. However, not only the struggle with poverty and the arrogance that comes from owning a large property are the main motives of this charming comedy, which is intended for children of all ages. The desire for love and the search for happiness in life plays an important role in this sometimes very exciting story, and an equally important motive here is the motive of forgiveness of guilt in the name of more permanent values, among which in this case the relationship of two brothers can be included.
