The PFL 7 mixed martial arts event for the 2019 season of the Professional Fighters League was held on October 11, 2019, at the Mandalay Bay Events Center in Las Vegas, Nevada. Kayla Harrison was initially scheduled to face Genah Fabian at this event. However, Fabian missed weight and was replaced by Bobbi-Jo Dalziel.

Invicta FC 29: Kaufman vs. Lehner was a mixed martial arts event headlined by Sarah Kaufman vs. Katharina Lehner fighting for the vacant bantamweight championship. Lisa Spangler was set to fight Yaya Rincon but the week of the event, Rincon pulled out of the bout and was replaced by Sarah Kleczka. 19 year old Croatian prospect Adriana Vukovic was scheduled to make her debut at this event but an opponent was not found for her, pushing her debut back to a future event.

Invicta FC 27: Kaufman vs. Kianzad was a mixed martial arts event headlined by veteran Sarah Kaufman returning to Invicta against Pannie Kianzad. On December 6, Invicta announced Kaufman had been signed to return for a headline bout. A strawweight bout between Mallory Martin and Tiffany Masters was made after being originally scheduled for Invicta FC 24.

UFC 186: Johnson vs. Horiguchi was a mixed martial arts event held on April 25, 2015, at the Bell Centre in Montreal, Quebec, Canada.

UFC on Fox 17: dos Anjos vs. Cowboy 2 was a mixed martial arts event that took place on December 19, 2015 at the Amway Center in Orlando, Florida. This was the last UFC event in 2015. The event was headlined by a UFC Lightweight Championship bout between current champion Rafael dos Anjos and top contender Donald Cerrone. Dos Anjos won their first fight at UFC Fight Night: Condit vs. Kampmann 2 by unanimous decision.

The Ultimate Fighter Nations Finale: Bisping vs. Kennedy was a mixed martial arts event held by the Ultimate Fighting Championship on April 16, 2014 at Colisée Pepsi in Quebec City, Quebec, Canada. The event was headlined by a middleweight bout between Michael Bisping and Tim Kennedy.

Invicta FC 5: Penne vs. Waterson was a mixed martial arts event held on April 5, 2013. Shannon Knapp announced during Invicta FC 4 that the event will be headlined by a co-main event of Jessica Penne defending her Invicta FC Atomweight Championship against "The Karate Hottie" Michelle Waterson along with a flyweight championship bout between Vanessa Porto and Barb Honchak and that Sarah Kaufman would make her Invicta debut on the show. The show was originally targeted for April 13, however Knapp announced they would change it to April 5 after the UFC announced a show on that date.

UFC 166: Velasquez vs. dos Santos III was a mixed martial arts event held on October 19, 2013, at the Toyota Center in Houston, Texas. The main event was a UFC Heavyweight Championship bout between the current champion Cain Velasquez and top contender Junior dos Santos. The two have split their two previous encounters with Dos Santos winning the first bout via first round knockout and then Velasquez winning the rematch via unanimous decision at UFC 155.

Strikeforce: Tate vs. Rousey was a mixed martial arts event that was held by Strikeforce. It took place on March 3, 2012 at the Nationwide Arena in Columbus, Ohio, United States. The event was the second that the organization had hosted in the state of Ohio and coincided with the Arnold Sports Festival, which annually draws up to 150,000 sports fans.
