A dark comedy about a failed son reluctantly helping his old, hospitalized father to die.

Isabella (35) is a driven business woman in Stockholm’s finance world. When she goes home to the small town she grew up in to celebrate her father’s sixtieth birthday, she feels like a winner, the only one in her old school gang that things have really gone well for. Isabella’s selfconfidence falters when she realizes that Simon, her great love from her teen years, is going to marry Isabella’s childhood friend Molly, and that she isn’t invited to the wedding. Isabella is accustomed to getting what she wants, and it disturbs her to see Simon so happy with someone else. Unfortunately, there are some feelings that never go away.

Alongside a tranquil road somewhere in Sweden live a number of people who are pretty much like people in general. When a highly improbable and catastrophic chain of events besets them, it leads to break up and change. A tragicomic story that feels both familiar and alien at the same time.

Sanna has broken up with her boyfriend Jon. Because her father is in the hospital, she moved into her father's apartment. In his dresser drawer, she finds clipped obituaries of his colleagues, who all seem to have died prematurely. Sanna crosses one border after another, approaching a total collapse of her obsession with truth. In the end, she takes the law into her own hands.

It's the 1960s and the local bandstand is in dire straits economically. Nancy the consultant shows up and attempts to get the business running smoothly again.
