Matthias is hopelessly overwhelmed when suddenly his mother Gisela is at the door. After a thigh fracture she sits in a wheelchair and needs help. When Matthias learns that Gisela has discharged herself from the rehab clinic, he realizes that she needs new life courage and is desperately looking for a solution. It comes quite unexpectedly from Tom, Gisela's ten-year-old grandson: Grandma needs a worshiper! The unusual plan works. The anonymous love letters, written by Matthias himself, enchant his mother. But when she wants to meet the unknown, all the dizziness threatens to fly up.

Munich, 1968: 21-year-old Laura, who has emigrated to the USA with her husband Gabriel, returns to her old home in Munich. Laura's father has been killed in a traffic accident a few days earlier. Her younger sister Friede is in a coma. Overwhelmed by the pain, her mother has withdrawn from the outside world. Laura feels abandoned, as she had hoped that the shared grief might help to overcome the tense relationship between her and her mother. Throughout her life, her mother was incapable of empathizing with her children and avoided any physical closeness. When her mother refuses to visit the critically injured Friede in hospital, Laura forces her into a confrontation in the hope of gaining a better understanding of her mother.

Tommie and Mario are on the prowl again. But this time not through the alcohol haze of Cologne Kalk or the Ballermann Club on Mallorca but through the German underworld. For a while, at least, because the police want to get rid of their two most stupid employees by far as soon as possible. When the billy goat "Hennes", the mascot of the 1st FC Cologne, is kidnapped, they see their chance for rehabilitation and rush to save their favorite club. Their investigation leads them across Germany, then they get it: "Hennes" must be in Munich - with the arch-rival of FC Bayern, who is targeting the morale of the troops of Cologne soccer with his outrageous kidnapping...
