Zahrat Al-Ola

A comedic tale created by the late actor Hussein Imam to pay tribute to the stars of the Egyptian cinema in its golden age. The main story is based on mixing scenes of 21-star from black and white period with other scenes written by and starring Imam so that the final product is the rediscovering of old stars in a new context.

Three poor girls live in a neighborhood. One of them is called (Firdaws), who breaks off her engagement due to her father's disagreement with (Mohsen), her fiancé. Meanwhile, (Mahassen) suffers from loneliness and takes care of her sick mother. And (Mary) is their Coptic friend who loves (Ramadan), the Muslim, despite their different religions. The film follows the lives of the three girls and the rest of the neighborhood, their relationship with each other, and what happens inside the neighborhood daily.

Hassan is accused of murder ,when he comes out of prison,his neighbor Elham secures a job for him in the place where she works. They live together a wonderful love story that ends tragically,when he kills her in the amusement park. He then marries the daughter of the owner of the company, but the truth can't stay hidden forever.

Saeed and Waheed are two pilots and friends. Waheed gets to know the belly dancer Zizi while they are in Cyprus, who works for a gang. She puts drugs in his bag to smuggle them to Egypt, but mixes it with the bag of a flight attendant, the gang kidnaps the wives of both Said and Waheed as hostages to recover the drug bag.

The government nationalizes Ibrahim's property and places him under house arrest, and Umm Al-Saad takes care of him. Ibrahim feels affection for Umm Al-Saad, so he gets involved with her and she becomes pregnant and he marries her. She gives birth to their daughter, Jalila, and Ibrahim dies. Years pass and Jalila graduates from the music institute. She seeks refuge with her uncle, but he expels her and denies her lineage. She resorts to the judiciary, and the uncle offers her to marry his son, Amr, who is sick with a malignant disease.

Saber (Helmy Abdel Baqi) loves his cousin Hanaa (Hanan Shawky) whose father Lashin (Farid Shawky) works as a taxi driver who drives a person involved in suspicious acts and is followed by the Police.The Police arrests Lashin because he keeps this man's bag which is full of drugs and he tries to prove his innocence.

Magdy and his sister Safiya's friend get engaged, and then he meets his first love, Salwa, by chance, whom he had difficulty marrying before. They keep meeting and talking about the past, and their feelings for each other return once again.

Mahmoud decides to find a better way to get money so he quits his job which results in creating problems with his wife. His greed blinds him until he loses himself.
