Bruno, a young traffic agent of the Spanish Guardia Civil, is abandoned by his wife after having an affair. Bruno, devastated, discovers one night, by chance, a strange passageway that leads him to another level of reality.

Some unemployed men look work as male stripper in a bar club, unaware the club is a cover for prostitution.

Aitor is a director making a film about a lonely man looking for love, called “Soul Ache.” While he uses his auditions to meet women, he really longs to cast actress Myriam Mezieres in the film.

Young Benigno is institutionalized after witnessing his mother murder his father. Years later, Benigno is released back into the world, now considered sane, intelligent and literary man. He leads a peaceful life in a mission for the homeless run by nuns until one day, on his birthday, something snaps.

Matias is a soccer referee. He promised his dying mother never to lie. When he referees a match of the spanish national team and there is a clear penalty against Spain in the last minute of the game he has no choice and marks the foul. As a result Spain does not qualify for the world championship and Matias is forced to escape from the rage of the people. He hides in the town of his father which he hasn't visited since his childhood.

The story revolves around a criminal family, led by a ruthless patriarch, who faces betrayal and death while trying to maintain their legacy. The children, Olga, Jero, and Oscar, face moral and power challenges, with Olga surviving violence and Jero and Oscar deciding their own destiny.
