Hanawa

Two brothers are born into a kiln-owning family in Arita Town, Saga Prefecture. Though they both honed their craft, it was the younger brother, not the elder who inherited the family kiln. Their father, a skilled overglaze painter, lived selfishly and paid no attention to his family. Will these three estranged men ever reconnect? The traditional kiln now faces a crisis. Amid this, a mother and daughter, victims of the Great East Japan Earthquake arrive at their doorstep. Through Arita-yaki (Arita porcelain), emotional connections, conflicts, and reflections arise, eventually leading to new realizations.

Miyauchi Suguri, who moved from Kumamoto to Tokyo with her dog, starts working at a pet shop due to a strange turn of events. The "dog maniac" Suguri who even grabs dog poop without hesitation creates great commotion together with her carefree colleagues and customers each with a past.

Yoko Sakaki: 24 years old. Occupation: Ghost Negotiator. With her tomboyish attitude and severely bad mouth, she helps ghosts leave this world by shouting at them. But, that work is almost done - she and her boyfriend Toshio are about to get married, and their dream is to open a tofu shop together. However, she has kept her profession a secret from him, instead telling him she is a flight attendant... While out with him one night, Yoko gets a call from work telling her that a ghost has appeared in Hachioji... She goes to bust the ghost with her unreliable new partner, Yanagida, but can she hold on to her relationship at the same time?

Guitarist Ko-chan is a mess of sexual repression after a childhood at the mercy of two elder sisters eager to use him as a guinea pig for their make-up skills. Bassist Gaku-chan keeps a bucket in the wings for whenever his nerves get the better of him, and drummer Momo-chan is doomed to forever carrying the botched childhood attempts at self-tattooing. It's not until this foursome is forced to look for an additional guitar player after Jin's dad burns his Stratocaster, that attitude and musical ability enter into the equation. Leather-clad, shade-wearing Tani (Tamaki), inseparable from his black Les Paul, is introduced as the king of R'n'R cool and Jinnai keeps him firmly seated on his throne throughout the film, retroactively proclaiming the guitarist, rather than himself, as the band's true hero.
