
Andonis Michaelides (July 24, 1958 – 4 January 4, 2011), better known as Mick Karn, was an English-Cypriot musician, songwriter, and sculptor who gained popularity as the bassist for the band Japan during the new wave era of late-1970s and early-1980s. His distinctive fretless bass guitar playing style was a trademark of the band's sound.
