A journalist finally gets her first big break after she gets assigned to write a story on Roko, a young man whose been recieving death threats from the representatives of the local organized crime syndicates after his brother falls in major debt with them. She publishes the story, but this only increases the threats, leading to a harrowing tragedy.

Tina (28) lives in what appears to be an idyllic marriage in town on the Adriatic coast. She is a housewife who takes care of their six-year-old daughter, while her husband Frane (32) provides for the family. Despite initially consenting and supporting her, Frane starts showing disapproval, initially through minor acts of sabotage. The changes inside her are suddenly reflected in reality – loneliness, crisis, emigration – and her scientific research on mystical symbols and human traces left in stone are mysteriously intertwined with her life.

Nena recently started working as a school assistant to seven-year-old Dejan who has learning disabilities. It's one of the first Nena's grown-up jobs, and Dejan is a tough cookie so every day is a new challenge for the two of them. Apart from that, Nena also has to struggle with the rigid school system around them. Things look pretty bleak until one day a fluffy white friend comes to visit.

The Prišt brothers are at a crossroads, preparing for their acting studies. Krešo, the older brother, has a hump and too much confidence. The other brother, Kruno, who can’t properly pronounce some words, finds out he has failed his entrance exam at the Faculty of Forestry and his girlfriend has left him. They chose their neighbour Črček, who lives in the same building, to supervise their preparations for studying acting. Črček is one of those characters who can’t do anything right, but at the same time he is likeable, chatty and ready to help.
