The thirteen tracks on »The Ophidian Trek« represent a great retrospective of MESHUGGAH’s fulminant carrier.Kicking off the show with ‘Swarm’, just one of many from their most recent album »Koloss« (2012), going back to »ObZen« (2008) with songs like ‘Lethargica’ and ‘Bleed’ and all the way to the very early days of »Chaosphere« (1998) with the track ‘New Millenium Cynadie Christ’. »The Ophidian Trek« was released on September 26 (UK: 29.09., US: 30.09.) via Nuclear Blast. Meshuggah released a 26-minute documentary as a bonus DVD with their seventh studio album, Koloss. Instead of a traditional concert film, the documentary focuses on the exhaustion, sleep-deprivation, and chaotic reality of international metal touring. It covers travel delays, shaky stage logistics, and includes interviews with burned-out band members.

Math Metal gods and pioneers Meshuggah strike back with the first ever DVD in the band's history. "Alive" comprises several live cuts on DVD, taped during various shows on their North American tour with Cynic in 2009 and the Loudpark festival in Tokyo 2008. This is rounded off with lots of backstage stuff, including insights into their drum and guitar work.
