A divorce lawyer and a couples therapist, both completely different, must, as witnesses, save their best friends' wedding at all costs.

Katja Sterner has to start again. Full of confidence, she follows the beckoning of her rediscovered lucky talisman to the beautiful village of Herzfeldt. Will she find happiness there? There is an old pavilion in Herzfeldt where Katja's parents once got engaged. The pavilion is said to have magical powers in matters of love, but now it is to be demolished. Katja quickly decides to offer to restore the pavilion. But she urgently needs to find a job. A few years ago, she quit her job as a restorer to care for her parents. After their death, Katja now needs a new job, but there is simply nothing available in her home town. But Katja takes a positive view of things, and so her lucky charm leads her to Herzfeldt with her few possessions.

Ebba, a successful food chemist, has a terrible dream in which she gives birth to a healthy bear cub. For her, this is a sign from fate that something is wrong in her life. She and her husband Markus are actually a good team, both privately and professionally. They have a daughter who is studying in New York. She hardly knows anything about her. They go on a short trip to the Baltic Sea with a couple they know. Ebba discovers Arne's little circus on the beach. The Dane flirts with her and offers her a vacancy as a dancing bear in his traveling circus. She accepts the offer and goes on tour with him.

"Captain" Werner and his crew are quite astonished: in the depot of the Berlin garbage disposal there is a stroller with a baby!

Completely burnt out, without a job or prospects, but with her son Theo in tow, Olga has to bury her high-flying big city and career dreams and seek shelter with her parents back in her home village in her early 30s. While mother Lilo is happy to have the two of them with her, Holger continues to punish daughter and grandson with stoic disregard. When a photo model gets replaced by a batch of new younger prettier girls, her life of riches melts in front of her eyes and she's forced to live like a homeless person in a parking lot of a high class hotel she once lived in.
