After many years working abroad, Guido comes back to Milan. His dream is to set up a clock-shop but Italy is much changed while he was abroad. Robbery and bombs are daily events and to go out for a walk in the evening is risky. He succeeds however in setting up his shop only to see it destroyed by gangsters. But he meets a girl who calls herself Mia and he falls for her.

A top undercover cop finds and arrests a series of purse snatchers until he discovers an American at the top of an evil ring of thieves.

The film is divided into four episodes that blends sex and comedy.

Intransigent magistrate Viola Orlando is targeted by her rivals who set her twin sister Rosa — a high-class prostitute and pornographic photo-novel star — up to impersonate Viola and demolish her reputation. To complicate things even further, Viola is torn between enforcing the law or giving up her seat on the bench to marry her childhood friend.

This slight skewering of the mindset of the Fascist era when Italy’s “White Telephone” films (conservative minded sophisticated comedy-dramas revolving around the bourgeoisie) were in vogue gives Agostina Belli her best role – an ambitious Venetian girl that goes from chambermaid to prostitute to singer to film-star to mistress of ‘Il Duce’! – for which she received a special David Di Donatello award, the Italian equivalent of the Oscar.

A good-natured but unlucky Italian is constantly going on a difficult situations, but never lose his mood.

By day, Ovidio (Joe Dallesandro) and his two friends work at a data center. After work, they blow off steam by committing random acts of savage violence, swiftly graduating from sparking a riot at a football game to vehicle theft, rape, and murder. The police are convinced this recent spate of crimes is politically motivated, but world-weary veteran Commissario Santaga (Enrico Maria Salerno) suspects a far more terrifying explanation: that these young men are motivated by nothing more than boredom and disaffection at civilized society. As Ovidio's behavior escalates, a psychological game of cat-and-mouse ensues between the two adversaries, building towards a shocking final confrontation.

In 1943 Italy is crumbling. Salvo D'Acquisto, a Carabinieri officer is trying to maintain law and order. One tragic incident will unravel a chain of events leading to him having to stand between the Germans and people he swore to protect.

The Countess Clara is in love with Andrea Valverde but agrees to marry the Count Guido when he learns that Andrew is his brother from his mother's side.

Alberto Sordi directs and interprets a corrosive comedy, another "story of an Italian" that makes you smile and reflect. An arms dealer is exposed and would like to return to an honest business. But his family does not intend to give up that bloody money.
