Tsetsilia Tsutsunava

A young, funny, lovely, kind girl from country-side is named Marine but she is nicknamed as Chrichina (Dragonfly). She is very popular in her village because of her happy-go-lucky temperament and singing songs. She lost a chance to study at University, fell in love with handsome, intelligent architect from the city. She must prove to everyone that she is useful for something, and not only for singing "aba deli dela..." every day. Everyone realizes that they are not very suitable for each other, but the young architect can't get her out of his head.

The film tells the story of a country rebuilding itself after World War II. In a lively socialist competition between two collective farms, two lovers, Bidzina and Eteri, are actively involved. Bidzina has brought home the son of a fallen comrade from the front, whom Eteri mistakenly believes to be Bidzina's child. This temporary misunderstanding leads to a series of comedic situations.

Using a marriage broker,a Prince in dire financial straits plans to marry the wealthy daughter of a merchant, The girl is in love with the nephew of the prince. Forced by her father into the unwelcome match, she finds a friend in another matchmaker. They arrange it so that the prince will not like the girl when he meets her.

The two neighbors, Amiran (ამირანი) and Gramiton (გრამიტონი), are cantankerous individuals who argue about everything for no reason. Their constant bickering is very amusing to everyone in the village, as they compete to see who is better.

The film vividly tells us about the socialist competition between the Georgian and Ukrainian Kolmeurnei, which will grow into a cordial friendship and rise through hard work. In this solemn situation, the marriage of a Georgian young man and a Ukrainian girl, who have liked each other for a long time, is also celebrated.

The modest Sandro does not dare to reveal his love to Maro, who, in turn, is very jealous of Sandro’s friendship with a female football instructor. Maro’s suspicions are unfounded, as Sandro is passionate about football and has only a sporting interest in the instructor.
