We see how a boy from a country band got the opportunity to play in clubs in the West and also how, after his return, thanks to a single song, he became a real pop icon of the time overnight. The most renowned composers and lyricists in Slovakia wrote for him, he won prizes at the most important competitions and many foreign tours came. However, the enormous success also begins to awaken his inner demons... And we will be able to observe all this accompanied by his greatest hits.

The film captures a period in the life of figure skater Ondrej Nepela, when in 1972 he returns with a gold medal from the Winter Olympic Games in Sapporo, marking the peak of his sporting career. At home, he is greeted not only with fame but also with the realities of the communist regime. Everyone treats him like a celebrity, but the sensitive Ondrej longs above all for an escape from this uncomfortable golden cage. He wants to live freely and in harmony with who he feels he truly is. Yet at the last moment, his promised chance to leave for a professional ice revue is forbidden, and he is ordered to compete in another World Championship. Disappointed, Nepela must find new motivation and also come to terms with the tragic death of his best friend, figure skater Hana Mašková.

A drama that tells the story of the physician and politician MUDr. František Kriegel, the hero of the Prague Spring of 1968, who was arrested and kidnapped to Moscow on the night of August 21st together with five leaders of the party and the state (Dubček, Černík, Smrkovský, Špaček and Šimon). He was the only Czechoslovak politician who managed to stand up to Brezhnev in Moscow captivity, even under the threat of liquidation, and not to sign the Moscow Protovol which meant agreeing to the occupation of Czechoslovakia in 1968.

The historical drama Dubček deals with the key moments of the year 1968, which fundamentally influenced not only the life of the then very popular politician, but also the life in the whole country. The whole story is conceived as a retrospective that begins and ends on the day of Alexander Dubček's fateful journey to Prague in 1992, during which he commemorates the breakthrough events of his life.
