In the 1960s, the film production company Lisa Film, headed by Karl Spiehs, ushered in a new era in German film: the erotic film. This period, characterized by change and openness, produced numerous successful films that had a lasting impact on the genre in Germany and captivated audiences.

Anna and her lodger, Mr. Kurtz, have come to terms with each other in their shared flat. But both Mr. Kurtz's planned conversion of the cosy four walls into a smart home and Anna's feelings for a new acquaintance shake up their life together.

Fun-loving Anna and her brittle lodger Mr. Kurtz are already living under the same roof as an old married couple. The balance of opposites threatens to tip when Anna's helper syndrome kicks in twice. Anyone looking for Austrian cuisine in Dresden goes to the restaurant "Lieblich an der Elbe" in the idyllic Elbschlösschen, which Maria Lieblich has successfully established together with her friends Steffi Krieg and Carola Bleibtreu. But the bank is breathing down the necks of the ambitious restaurateurs with high loan demands. When the elegant ship owner Hermann Augartner offers them a lucrative catering job, the ladies see their big chance to get out of their business predicament. However, it soon becomes clear that Augartner has no interest in helping the ladies out financially.
