The actress, Margot Collins, played Lady Macbeth to great acclaim in her youth. Now in her fifties, she is largely forgotten, struggling for auditions, let alone parts. But when a theatre company announces its intention to stage Macbeth, Margot is determined to land the eponymous role once more.

Set in the not so distant future a military veteran recounts his experiences on the front lines of a catastrophic world war. Constantly haunted by his past and unable to forgive himself, our protagonist must once again relive the terrible things he's done for a prying documentary film crew.

Ex-policeman Rollo Lee is sent to run Marwood Zoo, the newly acquired business of a New Zealand tycoon. In order to meet high profit targets and keep the zoo open, Rollo enforces a new 'fierce creatures' policy, whereby only the most impressive and dangerous animals are allowed to remain in the zoo. However, the keepers are less enthusiastic about complying with these demands.
