
Graduated from Guildhall School of Music and Drama in 1971. Made professional debut at The Mermaid Theatre in London for Bernard Miles, then two seasons in repertory at The Gateway Theatre in Chester. First appearance on television not long after, in Granada's "Shabby Tiger".
