Maximus's life has officially come to a standstill, on the brink of a precipice. However, he is magically transported to ancient Rome. There, using his connections, Maximus saves Julius Caesar's life, foiling the assassination attempt that would have killed him and becoming his most trusted advisor.

Now a real boy, Pinocchio is an adult who believes that sincerity and kindness are the path to a better life. But he is mistaken: in a world that does not welcome purity of heart, he is constantly exploited and mocked by those who take advantage of him.

Giacomo, the main character, 35 years of laziness, is a man who doesn't know and doesn't want to fight. He is a introvert curmudgeon, a little bit nerd but not very social, who walks with the look downward on his device without giving to the people what they would like from him: only a little bit of attention and enthusiasm. He loses his job, he is left by his wife and coincidentally he remains closed in the women's bathroom of the art-house cinema, together with the owner's small dog.

Angela and Franca decide to take the dream trip of their lives. They run away from their boring retirement home in Rome and make a daring getaway to fabulous Venice in this joyous, heart-warming on-the-road adventure where anything can – and does – happen.

Marcello is a professional film restorer and an avid cinephile. While working on some of the most popular titles of Italian cinema, he comes across a strange figure almost hidden among the extras - a man wearing a bowler hat and looking directly toward the camera, perhaps even at Marcello himself! He finds the same man in many other films from different movie ages. He grows obsessed with this figure, even if it seems Marcello is the only one who can see him.

Fired from his HR job in the big city, Fulvio returns home and sees a leaky pipe in his brother's church as the way to save the crumbling town.

Milan is a Belarusian immigrant who arrived in Rome with the dream of being able to change his life but, unable to take advantage of his degree in engineering, he finds work as a fake centurion, in front of the Colosseum and dealing with the crowd of tourists with whom he has his photo taken. His employer is Sergio, a former stuntman and self-styled invalid who is busy with a thousand imaginative jobs just to make some money and who shares a house with his sister Maria, a hotline operator. As the competition in front of the Colosseum becomes increasingly tough, Milan devises a plan to defeat everyone and, using his university studies, builds a real chariot with which to attract as many customers as possible.
