Waldisney works as a doorman in a building where confusion is constant. However, the employee is great at maintaining a certain order. When wrongly accused of stealing something, he will need to prove that he is anything but a thief.

Fátima is a woman who left São Luís do Maranhão for Rio de Janeiro to fulfill her dream of being a singer. As the years go by, her dream becomes more and more distant and she finds herself forced to exchange stages for tarot cards.

The film tells the story of Cristório, a fisherman from Northeastern Brazilian state of Maranhão, who lost his young son when he was killed by jealous husband, during a folklore festival that celebrates the return of a ressurected bull, called Bumba-meu-boi. It is a journey to the heart of deepest Brazil, where it finds the dramatic soul of the Brazilian people.
