Cheol-ho is a spinal cord injury patient who became paralyzed due to a sudden accident. His only guardian was his father, Seong-gyu, until he died in cancer. Seong-gyu, a wealthy man, foresaw that leaving his son with a large inheritance and no family would make him vulnerable to unscrupulous individuals. To protect Cheol-ho, Seonggyu legally acknowledged Ji-eun, a child born between Seong-gyu and his mistress, as his daughter after thirty years of estrangement. Ji-eun discovers that she has also been appointed as Cheol-ho's guardian.
