In this prequel to the TV series, the individual fates of the members of the later "Red Bracelets" and how they came together are told.

A husband and wife struggle with their consciences after they try to conceal a terrible crime committed by their teenage daughter.

Anja lives with her parents in a small town somewhere in Germany. She is about to graduate, but the weekend is usually celebrated. When Anja runs home from a party one morning, she is hit by a car on the highway. Apparently not much has happened. After the first shock has subsided, everyone is relieved that the accident has gone so smoothly. First. But it is becoming increasingly clear that Anja is no longer the same. She sleeps badly, suffers from panic attacks and delusions. It's as if she's been followed by gloomy shadows since that party night.

A young woman called Fiona shows up in a city in the Ruhr area to work for the Bauer family as a housekeeper. Father, mother, daughter and son all live their own lives, co-existing without communicating. Nobody realizes that Fiona has made a decision.

Life gets on Erol Ozak's nerves. The enforcement officer is supposed to collect something from people who have nothing. And suddenly there's a bag of money, a dead person, then the money is gone again and the melancholy man from the tax office has a bag of problems instead. A bit of genre coolness, a bit of arthouse slowness, a bit of robber's tale. Sözer and Eggert in silent greatness. Unusual, brittle, worth seeing.
