On a supermarket shelf, a particular alarm clock keeps blaring off-hand, upsetting the staff and the customers. Eventually, it's golden frame attracts the attention of a shoplifter, who is almost caught by security because of that feature. After escaping without paying from two other stores, the thief will come face to face with a cop - also wearing a long coat similar to the thief's - and the clock will blurt up again - in the wrong pocket.

In this retelling of the story of Hamlet, the young man is a soldier on leave to attend his widowed mother's marriage to his uncle - a marriage which is unpleasantly near in time to the death of his father. Every element of Shakespeare's tragic story is present, except that, this time, Dede refuses to kill anyone, no matter how persistent his father's frustrated ghost is.

Jacques Vauthier, a blind, deaf and mute writer is accused of a crime he quickly confesses to having committed. Jacques refuses to explain himself to his wife. His lawyer, Mr. Deliot, however, will try to discover the truth, because he is convinced that his client is innocent.

This exaggerated mockery of crime cinema tells the story of a gang lead by "Renato, o pacíficio" (Renato, the peaceful) and their attempt to steal precious jewels from the Gulbenkian Museum in Lisbon. The weapon of choice? Bees!

Irene is an agent for an insurance company. She is given the job of investigating the disappearance of an elderly librarian in a provincial town. During her investigations she meets a history teacher - Ricardo - who knew the librarian and is interested in local legends. Irene happens to hear about a very old medieval castle which, according to legend, has a secret entrance that opens mysteriously on Christmas night as the clock strikes twelve.

Director Christian De Chalonge uses a docudrama-styled approach to tell the lonely story of Portugese workers in France. In hopes of avoiding the Army, a boy leaves Portugal bound for Paris to find a job. He meets other Portugese upon his arrival but spends most of his time wandering the streets of Paris when his friend cannot be found. The tedium of the feature overshadows the good intent to bring attention to the plight of immigrant workers struggling to survive in a new country.
