The back story: Harry Klynn , is a famous mastermind comedian in real life.Harry has a unique gift to present the various political situations and happenings in Greece at the time and his is not afraid to disturb powerful people and make fun of them when find it necessary.He has a smart way to show people what's going on in his own country, and convince them by making everyone blow up from laughter.Harry makes excellent imitations of politicians and creates also some fiction characters which represent the everyday Greek.

Based on the book by Ilias Venezis "The Number 31328", the film by Nikos Koundouros unfolds through the personal tragedies of three characters, the Asia Minor Disaster and the agonizing travails of the Asia Minor Greeks who had been arrested and led to death by Kemal's troops and armed groups of Muslims. The wife of a merchant, a teacher and a seventeen-year old boy try to survive, following the column of prisoners into the depths of Asia Minor.

With the German invasion, Orestis, who was an officer in the Greek army, left for the Middle East. She followed him and accompanied him back to occupied Greece on a mission. She was arrested, interrogated and tortured and was finally sentenced to execution.
