The aging Bohus buries his wife Vlastička and after seven years of abstinence starts drinking again.

Story follows two best friend on private investigation. They are going to their hometown to prove that Michals mother was killed by his stepmother.

When a feisty village gossip ropes a visiting junior hockey team into her schemes, hoping one will notice her granddaughter, the resulting clash with the exasperated mayor and a hapless regional inspector sets off a chain of uproarious misunderstandings. All the while, an unconventional young priest with a mischievous name looks on in bemused bewilderment.

An ordinary man with an ordinary job, ordinary family and ordinary affair has an unordinary day after he signes the Charta 77.

The history of one idea with monstrous consequences, presented in the style of old newsreels and interspersed with quotes from Patrik Ouředník’s Europeana. Archival footage is combined with animation as a kindly narrator takes us on a journey from the idea of cultivating a “better human race” all the way to the gas chambers.

Petr and Richard are among those for whom fixed working hours are a nightmare. They want to be masters of their own time and not be subordinate to anyone.
